Barrett Emerick

I'm an associate professor of philosophy at St. Mary's College of Maryland and chair of the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. I'm also affiliated faculty in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program and the Environmental Studies program.

I'm a feminist, anti-racist, non-ideal theorist. I work in social philosophy, moral psychology, and normative ethics, focusing in particular on gender, racial, and restorative justice. You can learn more about my research and find complete copies of my syllabi via the links on the left. I've also shared public presentations and talks I've given while at St. Mary's, as well as a few short essays I've written.
